Tech billionaire, Mike Cannon-Brookes (pictured), through his company, Atlassian, and in association with Canadian Asset Management firm, Brookfield, made an offer for the Australian energy company AGL.
The board of AGL rejected the $8 billion bid by Cannon-Brookes to take over the company and to close its coal generators by 2030 and you can hear him talk about that on the Radio National's Breakfast interview - "Mike Cannon-Brookes pursuing AGL bid, despite a knockback".
