Hélène and Raoul launched a petition to ask the Nobel Foundation to consider the creation of a new Nobel Prize for the Fight Against Climate Change. In a world where temperatures are already 1 degree celsius above pre-industrial level and effects of a changing climate are seen all around the globe, they believe that decisive actions against climate change will be this century’s highest achievement and thus deserving of a Nobel category of their own.
They have two young kids. With their older kiddo they are developing a climate action roadmap to help them stay on track with their commitment to reduce their carbon footprint to zero emission by 2050.
